Richard B. Cheney is famous American businessman, public servant, and politician. Cheney was a well-known person in Washington throughout his time. George W. Bush was the president of the 4th generation to which he was a part of. Bush has nominated Cheney to be his vice president running mate in July 2000. Bush cited Cheney's wisdom, judgment, and experience. Dick Cheney, who served the United States as secretary and chief of staff in the administration of a president, and also within Congress has been a great serving our country. Both Republicans and Democrats appreciate his honesty. Cheney said he views his role as an honest but discrete adviser in Bush's administration. Cheney accepted his nomination as the Republican vice president that he hopes to serve with a presidential candidate who can be a cross-partisan collaborator and work in a manner of kindness and with a common goal. Richard Bruce Cheney is the son of Richard Herbert Cheney of the late Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. He was born on the 30th of January 1941 within Lincoln Nebraska. In the age of thirteen Richard and his family moved from Nebraska to Casper which was where his dad worked as head of Casper's U.S. Department of Agriculture local district for soil conservation.
