Gerina-Piller

She was born on March 29 1985 in Roswell New Mexico. Gerina Michel Mendoza is her name at birth. Gerina Stevenson's parents include Mexican Alan Stevenson & Rita Stevenson. She is American and is of Mexican American heritage. From a young age the desire for her to be active in sports was strong. Gerina began playing golf at the age of 15 years old. Gerina completed her high school education through Goddard High School. She was the winner of at the New Mexico State Golf Tournament at the age of high school. In addition to playing volleyball, she also competed at a state-level. She began attending in the University of Texas. In her final year, she took home every single tournament she participated in. During her undergraduate career she was awarded Conference USA individual champion player of the year as well as UTEP Female Athletics Player of the Year.
