Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on December 12, 1961 within Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast and she has the record of being awarded 10/10 marks at an Olympic competition. Bela Karrolyi, the Romanian gymnastics trainer who would become Comaneci's coach later on found her around the age of six. The first time she competed was at the National Junior Championships which she was 13th place in 1969. In 1970, she was crowned champion. At her first international competition in 1972, she came out on top with three gold medals. In her first international competition as a senior, in 1975 she bested the Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva, a five-time European champion winning four gold medals as well as one silver. In 1976, she became the world's first woman to use a backwards-double salto in order to take off the parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her career in the world of entertainment began in her teens when she began performing as a figure skater alongside her younger sister Nina Wayne as part of the shows that traveled around called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a United States citizen, born on the 6th of September 1942, in Chicago, Illinois. Carol was a part of the entertainment industry in her teens. She started her career performing figure skating with Nina Wayne, her younger sister as part of traveling entertainment show Ice Capades. These shows included skaters who were performed to music from the stage.
