Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
While I had one baby at my side and other children with me in the cradle would work 12 hour shifts cleaning floors and tear off wallpaper. Ha! Everything was starting to fall in place, yet it was not quite done. For this project, I was prepared to shell out a substantial amount of money and spend time searching for the perfect home. For my budget to remain in good shape, I went out with my three boys in search for bargains at estate sales. We had a weekly schedule that consisted of spending the week of Thursday to Saturday scouring estate sales and garage sales buying old and new objects. The rest of the week working on painting and sanding the driveway. The look was similar to the picture below... That's the time my love of restoring furniture began. After our home was fully decorated, I couldn't give up! Markets in town had room for me to sell pieces. Then I bought more that I could decide what to do with and outgrew the space. My home became a place that I hosted open houses, where up to 1000 visitors could see the things on the first floor, and then purchase the items. Growing Days is the result from this. Growing Days was more than an incredibly successful business, but also my sweet family. The balance was between the start of a company as well as being a mom. Growing Days seemed like the perfect combination. The year 2013 was the year my daughter Nora was our fourth baby. The direction of my business was fantastic, but I was forced to rest for a while. I decided to take a break from making vintage furniture, and slowed down my pace to be at home to raise the children. It was just what I required. After a few minutes the phone started ringing. I was getting calls from people needing help with the interior decoration and remodeling. They were mostly people that came to my house for furniture. It wasn't long before I was managing a full-scale business for home improvement. I began by taking clients one by one with a speed I could be confident in. It is likely that I'd have laughed had someone had told me the business was going to be the basis for an upcoming television show on DIY Network. In fact, I do laugh when I think about it.
