Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson (born Kristen Noel Swanson) is an American actor, who gained notoriety in the role of Buffy Summers. Her other parts include Rebecca Becky Granger, in the telefilm Nightingales and the short-lived NBC show of similar name, Erica Paget, as Early Edition on CBS and Marlowe Viccellio as Psych. She was born in California and discovered her love for acting when a young child. She was a part of the advertising world, appearing in many commercials. She appeared in an episode on the sitcom of NBC, It's Your Move, in 1984. Her debut was on the large screen in 1986 romantic comedy Pretty in Pink. Swan is famous for her gorgeous blonde voice with a breathless hairlisp as well as a the breathless voice. However in recent times she's started playing the role of a side character. Flowers in the Attic earned her the Young Artist Award in the Horror or Mystery Motion Picture category in 1989.
