Jenna Fischer was best known for her portrayal of Pam Beesly (the character of The Office) on TV. Her role on The Office brought her an Emmy nomination in the best supporting Actress category and she also won two SAG Awards, both for extraordinary performances on the cast of a comedy.
Jenna was raised within Fort Wayne in Indiana. Jenna spent her childhood watching her mother Anne, in church productions. It instilled in her a passion for theater.
Fischer is an actress who has the theater background. She starred with Josh Hamilton Leslie Bibb Fred Weller in Neil LaBute's Off Broadway play Reasons to be Happy. In the following play, she was a part of Steve Martin's Meteor Shower - an absurdist play starring Greg Germann with Josh Stamberg - for the Old Globe Theatre's world premiere.
The Office co-star Angela Kinsey and Fischer created Office Ladies, a podcast on Earwolf on October 19, 2019. The show has been a huge success, reaching in the Top Ten worldwide every week with more than 200 million downloads during its first two-years. Office Ladies was awarded the iHeart Radio Podcast of the year award in January 2021.
She is the author of two books. The Actor's Life The Actor's Life: A Survival Guide that describes her journey from St. Louis to Hollywood in order to be a professional actor, as well as the upcoming Office BFF's: Tales of The Office from Two of the Best Friends who were there (co-authored with Angela Kinsey), which is a memoir of their best friendship and time working on The Office.
